The Whittier College Early Talent Identification Program (ETIP) provides your organization the opportunity to connect with students before the formal recruiting process begins. While an internship program between Whittier College and your company is the primary way to develop an early talent identification partnership, there are many early talent initiatives organizations can implement. Through the Whittier College ETIP, participating organizations will meet talented and engaged students and increase brand recognition among future intern and job seekers.
Please consider the below options to develop your early talent identification initiatives:
Employer Mentor/Sponsor Program
On Handshake, employers and Alumni Ambassadors can connect with current students and other Alumni seeking industry information and resources and a network of new contacts. Alumni Ambassadors and employers can mentor emerging Poet professionals to help them successfully transition into workplace settings.
On-Campus Workshops and Presentations
Employers and alumni increase brand recognition through facilitation of classroom presentations on career development topics and or industries.
Student Site Visits
Employers and alumni gain interest from students by organizing tours and/or talks that highlight innovation and industry interest.
Poets Hiring Poets
Poet alumni introduces potential career opportunities and jobs to current students and alumni.
Backpack-to-Briefcase (B2B) Series
Alumni provides mentorship by sharing advice about career skills and traditional and non-traditional career paths with students via informal discussion series.
