College Event Publicity & Promotion
Recommendations and guidance available for event support, from campus to media communication and procedures. Please note, not all events require similar promotional methods; recommendations will be given on a case-by-case basis. A press release "how-to" document is also available for interested students.
The office works with a number of professional photographers available for reasonable hourly rates, and we are happy to coordinate any photography needs. Please contact the office at 562.907.4974 as soon as possible should you require photography for a scheduled event. All photographs will be taken in digital format unless otherwise specified.
For select events, the office works with Media Services and others to deliver live broadcast feeds of Whittier College events via our website. As this process requires significant coordination and advance testing(lighting, sound, wireless connection, subject releases, etc.), services are limited. Those wishing events to be considered for livestreaming are encouraged to contact the office as soon as possible. All livestreamed events are auto-archived and can be accessed through our site at www.whittier.edu/live.
